Using the Falcata, the proprietary link cable (even the longer included one) wasn't long enough for a comfortable split until they found a USB4 Thunderbolt 4 extension that works.

“the link cable connecting the two halves is proprietary, and the longer of the two included cables still isn't long enough”

Likes the Falcata so far, but the long link cable is 10–15cm too short; only USB4 L-adapters and a straight extender worked to widen it.

“I like the ROG Falcata so far, but it's frustrating that ASUS didn't make the long cable 10-15cm longer.”

Two months with the Falcata: a decent gaming board that's nice to type on tented, with wireless and half-board use, but Wooting is still the gold standard, the sound is average, and stock spacebars are hard to replace.

“I've had the board for about 2 months now.”

Enjoys the Falcata more over time: easy switching between mouse space and split-typing comfort, perfect rapid trigger and actuation as a gaming keyboard, and the left half alone works great for couch gaming. Many USB4/TB4 cables and extenders worked for the link.

“The more I use it the more I enjoy it.”

Upgrading from a Strix Flare II, the Falcata is the best gaming keyboard they've tried; the proprietary link cable and limited switch ecosystem are downsides, and they wouldn't pay the $420 MSRP (they paid $280).

“I love this keyboard. It’s easily the best gaming keyboard I’ve tried.”
