Returned the Aerox 5 Wireless despite an excellent, comfortable shape for 22x11cm hands, snappy TTC Gold clicks, great feet, solid creak-free build, a grippy coating and 5–7 days of heavy-use battery: the small, ridged side buttons and nearly unusable paddle were a deal-breaker.

“The side button setup is a complete dumpster fire, and the #1 deal breaker for me in using this mouse.”

Owns the Aerox 5 Wireless and loves parts of it: with 20x11cm hands the love-or-hate shape works for them, they like the side-button layout once used to it, and the coating and TTC Gold switches are best in class.

“I own this mouse and really love certain aspects of it.”

Half a year on the Aerox 5 Wireless: their hand got used to the side flick switch, it's still crisp, and no other mouse has the extra thumb buttons they love. Easy software.

“I'm currently using one. I have been for half a year now.”

Used the Aerox 5 Wireless for over a year: the scroll wheel failed after a few months, it was hard to clean of pet hair, the cable kept disconnecting, and then it died completely.

“Used this mouse for over a year, middle scroll wheel fcked up after few months”

Their Aerox 5 Wireless randomly drops its 2.4GHz connection for 3–10 seconds, feels cheap and noisy when squeezed, and has the shift button placed too far forward.

“It ramdomly disconnects when using 2.4gz and takes 3-10 seconds to reconnect.”
negativeconnection issues

The scroll wheel on their first Aerox 5 Wireless started jittering within months; the warranty replacement did exactly the same.

“I had to return my first Aerox 5 because the scroll wheel starte jittering within a couple months of getting it.”

Returned the Aerox 5 Wireless after a few hours of WoW: hard to grip and causing wrist pain, with oddly shaped side buttons, a paddle that tilts the mouse, and a front button and DPI button out of comfortable reach.

“While it looks great on paper, the actual implementation is definitely lacking.”
negativeuncomfortable

Their Aerox 5 Wireless died after two months, support was bad, the software is poor, and it takes 2–3 seconds to wake from power saving.

“Bought one about 2 months ago - aside of the poor software, the mouse lasted just 2 months.”

The Aerox 5 Wireless scroll wheel started jumping after a few months, battery life is poor, there's no grip, and the thumb button can't be bound as a DPI clutch.

“For anyone considering buying it, don't.”

Months in, the Aerox 5 Wireless is a fine mouse, but battery life is short and the buttons take some getting used to.

“bought it months ago. It's a fine mouse, but the wireless battery life is kinda short.”
mixedshort battery life

After a month their Aerox 5 Wireless lost its wireless pairing and they used it wired for months until it finally re-paired. It feels really good in the hand.

“I had issues with it after my first month, the wireless mode suddenly dropped and I was unable to re-pair the dongle with my mouse.”

With 20x11cm hands and a relaxed claw, they find the Aerox 5 Wireless very comfortable: a grippy coating, crisp TTC Gold clicks, well-placed side buttons, one of the best scroll wheels they've used, and a solid, creak-free build.

“This is my review of Steelseries aerox 5 wireless”
positivecomfortablesolid build

With 20x10cm hands they can't reach the Aerox 5 Wireless's front thumb button without shifting grip, and the mouse is huge and oddly shaped at the back, so only 2 of the 5 side buttons are usable.

“Unless you contort your hand/grip into a really weird position, you cannot hit the thumb tip button without moving your grip.”
negativeuncomfortable

Loved the Aerox 5 Wireless's shape, light shell and four-button side layout, but its scroll wheel started scrolling backwards after about 5 months, and the same failure hit two warranty replacements; the third also disconnects weekly.

“the scroll wheel started acting up—scrolling in the opposite direction every few notches.”

Eight months on the Aerox 5 Wireless: the scroll wheel started misbehaving after two months, cleaning only helped briefly, and the battery life is also an issue.

“I've been using my Aerox 5 for the last 8ish months”
